![]() ![]() ![]() The repair skill is generally a skill I've never maxed out (for obvious reasons) and these builds were an attempt to see what the developers had in mind for every aspect of the skill trees (excluding the plethora of psi powers of course). Having lower maintenance skill also gives the Navy class a reason to pick up and modify weapons they find that are in better condition than what they have. The difference is that difficult might mean there's quite a bit of skill involved in besting its challenges however, for these games all you really need is a solid understanding of the underlying mechanics. Part of the fun of these builds in my opinion are the additional challenges each build faces (guns jamming and being repaired in combat with the Navy, no damage research or repair skill for Marine, and no pistol for the OSA). System Shock 2 is like Dark Souls in that, to me, it's not actually difficult it's just not easy. OSA focuses on research to get exotic weaponry/gear and ends up having 8 points in the psi stat with wormskin armor. I think it fits the build as it does not require any investment in cyber affinity and maintenance is covered in the Marines portion of training. All three characters utilize at least one technical skill and the Marine focuses on maintenance. The Navy class is meant to excel in all technical skills that utilize the cyber affinity stat and with ExpertTech maxes out hack, repair, and modify. Needs auto-repair unit to get recycler, LabAssistant to research Annelid Launcher, and four ICE picks (one to get sympathetic resonator and three to defeat SHODAN).
